You do not need to bring anything in particular to your session. You will be undressing to your comfort level for your treatment. Traditionally, massage sessions require you to fully undress as you will be securely draped over a sheet and blanket during the entire time of the session. You may leave drawers on to feel more comfortable. If you have any valuable jewelry, please leave at home or a safe place. We do require jewelry to be taken off during session, so that we can access all areas of the body for the massage. All areas of the body will be covered during the session, accept for what the therapist is working on.
No, we do not accept insurance claims or prescriptions for massage therapy. You may get a copy of your receipt, and submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
Yes, we offer Manual Lymphatic Drainage sessions. To schedule a Lymphatic Drainage sessions, please click on Book Now on our home page near the top. If this is your first time with us, select Initial Post Op or Non Post Op With Consultation. You may also reach out to our Lymphatic Drainage Therapist directly at (413) 526-7112 with any questions you may have. Please schedule your appointments in advance. If you have a surgery scheduled and need Lymphatic Drainage soon after surgery, please allow 2-3 weeks minimum for booking as appointments get filled quickly.
Yes, we offer couples massage. Unfortunately, do to the volume of sessions we get booked, our couples sessions are done in separate rooms with separate therapists. Please schedule a couples massage as a single 60 or 90 Minute Session for each person. We schedule at least 2-3 weeks minimum out for couples sessions.
After a massage, it is crucial to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated as blood circulation has been increased through your system and you may feel dehydrated after your session. Do not do anything too strenuous after a massage to allow the muscles to recover and stay in a relaxed state. If you are sore after a massage or the next day or 2, you may ice for 10-15 minutes any area that may be bothering you.
